My friends and I were bashing the other day when we realized that the
slaying of undead had made our auras bright, our alignments high, etc.
Indeed, I was according to the normal standards of judging such things
"Angelic". My friends had "souls that were truly seraphic."

Almost everyone in Ashtan and most in Hashan have had this experience.
It goes a lot like this.

1. You realize that you've been doing good and as such your alignment is
high.
2. You say, "Oh shit, I'm angelic."
3. In a panic you realize how gleefully Dresden and co. would use your
angelic alignment to deliver you into harm and smash you to bloody
pieces.
4. In order to avoid this fate, you go out and kill some innocent
children, thus saving yourself from being slain by the upholders of
truth and justice because you've been doing good.

And, if you're like me,
5. You post on the whole thing and probably get disfavoured for it.

Any comments on this from anyone in the Church? And please don't tell me
that you people wouldn't do that, it's been done to me before and it's
been done to countless others before me.
