A thought on a friend

now, I don't normally waste my gold posting on public, but this one
time, I do not count it a waste.
All of you know me, and know Who I follow, it's rather obvious I'm sure.
I have an eclectic bunch of friends, and among them is the priest I'm
here to talk about today. My opinion of Shallam and most of it's
citizens is also well known, with only a few exceptions, of which
Leonidas is one. I have watched him for many years, from a young Paladin
to one who sought the Priesthood. He has always showed me kindness, and
little bigotry I find usually amoung those who reside within Shallam's
walls.
while I realise I am antitheis of everything they believe in, he has
always gone out of his way to treat me with respect, and with a blend of
courage and truth I seldom find. He does not seek to convert me, unless
perhaps it is by example. His Lady is Tarah, who I also enjoyed speaking
with, and in him I have found many of her qualities.
Many know I enjoy seeing both sides of a coin at once, and Leo aptly
demonstrates to me, what a TRUE Priest of Paladin should be. One who
goes about his work without shouting Look at me! I'm doing my job!,
without calling for blood to soak his hands, and without turning from
his purpose. yet like each of us, he is mortal, with hesitations and
worries, which of us is not? I wish only to acknowledge my friend, and
to say to the guilds of Righteousness, You have one amoung you, who is
all you profess to be, and you value him much to little, perhaps he is
not as flashy or as loud, but a wall is not only built with the massive
stone, but with the sand that trickles in, and fills the holes that
stone leaves.
Be well my friend, and may your path always lay where you wish it.
