In my journeys to other lands beyond the surrounding seas of Sapience
and its isles, I have come across a legend and prophecy of the greatest
Good vs. Evil battle ever. It has been called the Riders Saga. From what
I have gathered is basically a timeline of events put into full story,
which has thus brought a prophecy upon Sapience. It has been shown in
its full entirity in four posts. The first post being this one with the
Prelude and the first two chapters.
Prelude
In the beginning of life, there was peace and war. The eternal struggle
of Good versus Evil, never can there one without the other, a struggle
that has made new eras and new beginnings, new battles and new ways of
life. In each new beginning, there has always been one fate placed upon
a divine astral being. A being that is ready to take shape upon one
person to change the life surrounding that one to bring in a new era of
life itself. It is thus that the saga of the Riders is based upon. One
shall bring a new dawning, the other will bring a new era.
Chapter One - Seleucar
The Saga begins with Nikolas. When he received the Staff of Sarapis, he
was unknowingly transformed into the first Rider. Though he had not a
horse, he had a dream. A dream he rode upon to unite the people with,
the dream called Seleucar. Once named Nikolas, is now Nicator the Rider
& Emperor of Seleucar.
It was from this being that it eventually took shape of the dream
itself. But soon, the dream began to become corrupt from outside forces
and of the many centuries of shape shifting. It would be from this now
corrupted dream that the downfall of the Seleucarian Empire takes shape.
When it became evident that the Emperor wasn't going to reform the
Empire, a handful of Shallamites and Ashtanites banded together to
conceive a plan to end the empire. It was said that a Shallamite headed
this group where in which it was he that led the Sapient League forces
against Seleucar.
There are many variations as to whom the main leader of the forces was.
Perhaps it was a stranger that wanted to take over the Empire and
eventually did after the Empire fell. Could it be really an Ashtanite
that wanted the throne for him. Or was it a reincarnation of Nicator
wanting retribution against the family that clouded his dream. No one
knows though many scrolls state that the person who executed was the
leader of the group and it looked like Nicator himself.
Chapter Two - Parikan Formation
During the last 44 years of the Seleucarian Empire, across the Sapphire
Ocean lay the land of Parikan. Under the supervision of the Seleucar
Barons, the families of Dretiju and Imyntzio continued the work of
continuing the greatness of the Imperium into the lands of Parikan. For
348 years before then, these two families carved the name of Seleucar
into the land of Parikan. Of the two families, Purcen Dretiju & Gailus
Imyntzio were the final two at the helm of the Imperial Government upon
Parikan.
Purcen Dretiju was a pacifist relying only on trading of the villages.
Whilst Gailus Imyntzio was an optimist relying only on power and
strength of his family's and of the Seleucarian armies. With a pair of
opposites at the head of the Seleucar-Parizan nobility, many things were
completed without the worry of disagreement. Hence throughout their
child and adulthood, they unknowingly took the roles of the Second and
Third Riders. Oddly from the whole saga, this is but the only time where
both riders would aid each other during their lifetimes before the final
scene.
When the empire fell, so did the Imperial government of Parikan. Chaos
ensued across the lands. Then in the third year after the fall of the
Seleucarian Empire, Purcen and Gailus founded and built the Saeryn
Government. During the building of the Saeryn government, the two
friends began to pit themselves against each other. Soon, it was the
Imyntzio that first took stances against the Dretiju. Yet they still
accomplished building the Saeryn Government.
With opposition on each side, they began to fight each other for the
position of Desoro Nobleman of the Government. The Dretiju proclaimed
that the land should be a peaceful land, the Imnytzio wanted to conquer
the surrounding isles for the betterment of Parikan itself.
Thus they fought for a year, a year where the family clanship eventually
dwindled to the Master Heirs, their wife, and a few kinsmen. Purcen's
family didn't want to fight anymore nor did Gailus, but there had to be
a way to choose whom shall be the first Desoro Nobleman. Their only
choice was for one duel. A duel against friendship and family honour, it
was Purcen versus Gailus. Winner of the duel gains the high position of
the new Saeryn Government.
On the 10th of Miraman, 5 AF, Purcen and Gailus fought upon the grasses
of Tintagelle. They fought bravely and honourably. As dawn arose upon
the new day of the 11th, Purcen faltered to the blood-ridden grass. He
had been greatly wounded across the face and had become blinded by the
blood upon his eyes. The Dretiju family lost the high position, thus
bringing an end to the alliance to the families. Gailus proclaimed his
son Clark as the First Desoro Nobleman of the 1st Saeryn Government of
Parikan.
In the year following the duel, the Saeryn clan of Dretiju went into the
great Forest of the Mist in hopes of striving for survival of both
themselves and of the family line. Eventually they founded the City of
Diadora.
