Dear all.
I apologise for the ooc but I need your help with my work for
university.
I am looking for people from all walks of life in the game to arrange an
interview with me to talk openly and quite ooc'ly with me about why you
play MUD games and what roles you play within the games. I can keep the
discussions private and give a false name for you if you don't wish to
be quoted directly.
Some of you may remember doing this with me the first time I attempted
this project, but unfortnateley my methodology wasn't good enough and I
failed, so I have to re-submit my dissertation. My new question is,
"What attracts people to playing online roles in virtual communities?" I
need to talk to people from Gods to newbies, Guildmasters to rogues, and
get an idea of why you play the game, and why you aspire to the
positions, fame or notoriety you do, and what drives you to log on every
day.
I'd be grateful if anyone who is interested could msg me with their
name, title or position in the game and when they are most likely to be
free over the next week, say Monday at GMT 3pm. GMT only please, as i
don't understand yuor weird foreign timescales *grin* The interviews
should (hopefully) be fun, and very informal, but incredibly useful to
me.
Thank you for your help everyone...let's get me a degree this time!
