Shrines

Good Scavenger,

You have been a member of our realm for some time, and until reading
your post I wholly believed your intelligence was befitting of your time
in this realm. Sadly, I was mistaken. You my friend have not only
completely missed the point, you have outright slanted the Gods as a
whole. First, allow me to address the matter of defiling/sanctifying
while graced. Such an action of cowardice can almost be justified in
landmarks, however as far as shrines go, corpses are required for
defilement, and thus killing must be done. While graced, this killing
could not have been accomplished. It should be obvious even to yourself
that this undoubtedly means the corpses were acquired from another who
was not under the Grace of the Gods, then used for the purpose of
sanctifying and defiling the shrine whilst under the Grace of the Gods
by another. This is an outright manipulation of the gift of Grace, as it
is without a doubt an aggressive action, even requiring aggressive
actions before the final action takes place.

Now, allow us to look at the shrines within our realm. One must only
take a few moments of their life to read over the scrolls pertaining to
shrines and offering to recognize the manifold importance of these
shrines. It is a well known fact among almost all circles that Gods
sustain their power through essence, and this essence is gained through
the offering of either gold or corpses at a shrine. No longer do the old
offering spots exist, but those locations where shrines are present are
now used for the same purpose. Thus, they are a necessary and important
part of our world. Furthermore, beyond their physical and etherical
uses, the shrines are also a manner with which Gods can express their
glory and fortitude in the realm. If you have taken the time to observe
the shrines in our realm, you will have noted that the shrines of, say,
Aegis, Sartan, and Pentharian are quite different, and each is a
testament to the strength of the God and His Order, along with the sheer
number of the shrines of course.

How these purposes could be missed by anyone is beyond me, but hopefully
you will not be so ignorant in the future. Lectures such as this are
painful to the vast majority of Sapience that is not so mentally
impotent as yourself.
