We wouldn't want to keep Zero waiting, would we?

War, like power, means little if it is for it's own sake.

Going out and flexing our muscles and proclaiming our physical dominance
over the rest of the people of Achaea seems to be the norm, nowadays, and
quite a few people seem to be destroying people for the sheer experience
of it. Admittedly, because our Gods choose to keep their champions alive,
conflict is of little use anyway, but at least it serves as an example.
When one is killed for the sake of being killed, all that it says is, "I
am bigger, stronger, and meaner than you, and there's nothing you can do
about it -- while I stroke my ego, you can go off and pray."

Fighting (and dying) for what you believe, however, is a noble purpose
indeed. I just have to question the sanity of anyone who would fight and
die for no reason other than to fight and die again.

Israfel.

Penned by my hand on the 21st of Valnuary, in the year 270 AF.
