You're right, not all conflict is war. But all conflict can lead to war. As for your response... I didn't actually say anywhere that all conflict is war. If you are referring to what I said about the incident of Xianty's kidnapping, many, many people died in that "conflict" which was not a war. There is always war here, even the sentinels have to constantly defend themselves from those who think that they make easy kills. Leaders can "declare" a war, but that only increases the level of already constant fighting.
War is in many ways a state of mind. Either it is always here for you, or... you live in a lie. Gods come and go, but Aegis' presence is constant, in spirit if not in divine body. We cannot lose a conflict because in fighting it even to our defeat we have accomplished the goal of being able to fight. In the sense of worship of Aegis we all do so in spirit if not in form.
Oh, and Durin. Cyre, Radagast, Zero. Three Church members who were converted off of the top of my head. Silverlock, who left our side to join yours. People like Ryvern and Irontounge, who have changed sides multiple times. Propoganda does have its effects, though they are not always immediate.
As an example of what I mean about divine presence I turn my pen once again towards Shallam. When I grew up there as a Paladin in service to Aurora many things were different. I left shortly after Aurora did, and her Order has shrunk to almost nothing since then. The ideals of Her Order, never widely respected outside of Shallam, are now spit and trod upon in her absence as you continue to harbor unrepentant servants of Twilight in what was her city. These days are dark, because Aurora's sphere of influence has enemies and can't defend itself without her.
Aegis' sphere of influence has no enemies because to attack us is to strengthen us. There is more to war than just its physical side, though the physical side is more often than not the part which counts.
If you are interested in joining Aegis' Order, stand up and ask. If you have questions about us, feel free to direct them at me. He holds audiences late into the night sometimes in His temple near Delos, during those times you can converse with Him yourself.
Still looking forward to Israfel's response,
Zero.
