Peacekeepers

First off, I find it rather strange that Ashtan swooped in when there was not any hostility between anyone else and the Therans, and in doing such, brought battle after battle on the grounds of "Peace".

Secondly, I find it rather amusing that in order to GAIN peace there, you Mistral, for your birthday, had the knowledge of the Mayor's slaughter. You had even publically stated that. It may be Ashtan's opinion that the Mayor of Thera is inept, that I am not questioning. What I AM questioning is this. In Ashtan, in order for a replacement of any public Office, either the citizens can challenge or the Overseer/Diety changes by appointment. Nowhere ever have I seen that, say the city of Hashan says "Mistral is unfit" and slaughters her and appoints itself in her place. That is completely ludicrious. You Mistral, of all people, should understand the proper order of things. If the Therans are unhappy with the mayor, let them be the ones to replace him. Hiding behind this "Peacekeepers" facade, is nothing more than that. If you truly wanted Peace in Thera, you would allow them to govern themselves as they see fit, not deeming your laws on peoples who never asked for it.

--To gain peace through a Dictator is just as silly as trying to carry water in a bucket with no bottom.--

Let everyone learn from this, and from the errors of Ashtan's ways. We are all fighting under the same idea "Freedom for Thera", but it is VERY odd that we are fighting the "Peacekeepers" for such a thing...
