and all mortals

Written by: Aegis, God of War

Addressed to: Obsidian Neokove, Seneschal of the Crown

Hashan buries its head in the sand once again, while Shallam and Ashtan take to arms. Nothing short of Hashan could make the most feared warriors in Achaea, the Kharon, become the listless waifs they are today. Hashan, I am not known for being magnanimous, but this once, I will grace your little town with some of My own Divine Essence. I have consented to Patron the Kharon.
I am quite aware of your city laws and how the little finger must not strike unless the entire body goes to war. The Kharon will not be granted the luxury of apathy. As of now, the Kharon will assume active patrols on an equal footing with the other cities. Once the Kharon tried to conquer the entire continent and create the great Kharon Empire, now they are not allowed to even patrol a highway without the permission of the tiny town of Hashan? Bah! The glory days of the Kharon are not in the past, they are in the future, and as Patron for them, I will not let timid minds keep them from meeting that potential.
My brother Sartan and I agree on several things, one of which is that conflict stimulates growth, just as the lack of it can only result in atrophy. I am Cure, Hashan. The Kharon are stepping up to be counted. Are the rest of you lesser men?
--Aegis--

Penned by my hand on the 7th of Scarlatan, in the year 258 AF.
