You know, I am appalled that I have been driven to write this.

I have been called a whore. And if that's what people want to believe well you go right ahead. It doesn't bother me one bit.
What does bother me is that people seem to think that this means that I will indiscriminantly sleep with whoever wants me when they want me.
This is not the case. I reserve the right to refuse propositions and marriage proposals for that matter without suffering through the constant pouting and re-asking I get from people.

I am going to stop being polite soon. When I say no I mean it. I usually will do so gently with an explaination which is basically this- I'm tired of being used and thrown away because people think that's what I'm about. I am not looking to get married, I just lost my husband for goodness sake, have some sensitivity. And last, I don't feel the need to waste my time philandering with men who have nothing to offer me and with whom I have nothing in common.

When a woman tells you no, stop asking. When she's your friend, this doesn't mean you have to stop being her friend. Just get over it.
And don't start acting like a jerk. It's not going to improve your chances any.
What the hell is wrong with you people?
