What is a friend? Ask yourself that question and look deep down within yourself to find the answer.
For me, a friend is there whenever I need him or her. If I have a problem, it becomes their problem too. Not because I make it their problem, but because it is a sense of love and compassion that has grown thru the years.
I was once walking with my grandfather down a busy city street and he was saying hello and smiling to a lot of people, talking like they knew him. I smiled and told him he sure had a lot of friends, and his reply that those where not friends, but mere acquinatances. Only being nice to him because he has something they all want. We went on walking and talking about what a friend is, and just looked at me and said 'After a robber has taken all your gold, sickness all your health, the fire the robber set takes your house, the drought has killed off your plants and a pack of wolves has eaten all your livestock, Your friends are the ones there waiting to help you start all over again, and don't want anything in return.'
I ask this of Mazrim and Khejian: If a god strips you of all your powers, how many would come to you and try to help you out?
Would you go and help a person you know who has had that happen to them?
I know of people who would be there for me, and they know I would be there for them.
