No, the difference (in therory) is that the people like Israfel _try_ to be Good, and _try_ to not be evil, whereas you either do the exact opposite, or at least have no care for the evil in yourself.
Now I'm not saying that one of you is right or wrong (although I do have my opinions) all I'm saying is that you cant call Israfel hypocritical for trying to stamp out evil, because it is, quite simply, not hypocritical.
