I don't think you are understanding my point of view on this, which is simply that Gods SHOULD act through their mortals. Twilight asked you to be patron, you refused (completely your decision whether to refuse or not and he didn't punish you directly for refusing), and then simply encouraged unrest within your guild. He IS the God of Darkness after all, and is well known for fostering deceit and plots. It's not as if he said "appoint me guildmaster or I fry you until you do." The guildmaster has the right to pick the patron, BUT the members have the right to pick the guildmaster, and if they are more loyal to Twilight in this matter than you, then so be it. That's their choice. This is about freedom of choice for everybody, and since guilds are democracies (with limits on who can vote of course), I don't see that there was any problem with what Twilight did. He influenced, he didn't force.
