Public News Post #4982

Chivalry.

I do not see how you have any right to speak of chivalry. It
was not that long ago that you declared here on the public
board that your guild is now free to team others as much as
they want--something that, in the beginning, you were vehe-
mently against.

I never see an Infernal alone and out of Ashtan, if there is
a high skilled church member about. I understand this--it is
simply a show of intelligence. I don't, however, claim to un-
derstand why you allow as many Infernals as they please to
attack a lone defender. That is not chivalrous at all.

Before you feel it needs to be brought to my attention, I am
aware of the fact that some Church members do team you, but as
hard as I try (and I am fair, so I try hard) I cannot find a
single instance of the Church teaming a single defender. I am
but young, however.

I have, for a long time, wished to ask you a question concern-
ing the patronage of your guild. Looking through back posts, I
came across a note from Sartan, Lord of Evil, declaring what
was required of those who wished to join his Order. Among them
was the requisite that those of his order must remain celibate.
I am told that you were already married at the time. Does this
have anything to do with the fact that shortly after, you posted
saying that Lord Aegis would be your new patron?

I do indeed respect vows of chastity, and while I would disagree
with Lord Sartan's reasons for requiring it, it is still a worthy
accomplishment, to be able to totally refuse the attentions of the
opposite sex.

I struggle with it daily, though it is certainly not as difficult
for me, as it is for others.

In any case, this missive has gone on for far too long already.

Regards,
Israfel.

PS - I was hesitant in asking my question, relating to your
marriage and the edict of Sartan, for I do try to respect every
marriage.

Penned by my hand on the 24th of Phaestian, in the year 245 AF.
