A flaw in your theory

I would like to start by complimenting you with that very
throughout and well formulated theory to determine the shape
of the world.
However I have found a few flaws in your theory:
1.) You state that the sun rises at the same time all over
Sapience - thus proving the shape to be flat.
How do you know what time it is in Ashtan while you stand
in Shallam? Perhaps the sun rises in Ashtan several hours
after the sunrise in Shallam.
The only way to determine this would be to ask a person in
Ashtan about the sunrise just as it arose in Shallam -
but this would require some sort of instant communication.
I do not know if light and sound has the same speed - or is
perhaps travelling at very different velocities - do you?
Other form of communication would be by telepathy and by
the arcane channels such as guildtell and ordertell -
but again the exact speed of communication is unknown.
Thus we really don't know if the sun rises at the same time
all over Sapience - thus invalidating your theory.
2.) I have found possitive indication that the world is
some sort of sphere or globe in the divine scrolls known
as www.achaea.com/world/sapcon.html.
In this scroll - perhaps written by Sarapis - perhaps
not - is a description of the continent of Sapience.
Let me quote this tome of geography:
The continent of Sapience stretches the length of the globe,
running from a few hundred kilometers south of the
permanent ice pack on the northern pole to about halfway
between the equator and the south pole. To the west and east
lie vast oceans extending beyond the realm of current mortal
knowledge. (endquote)
As you can see the world is described as a globe - thus
it cannot be flat (if the author is not incorrect or lying).
Also there is mentioned two poles which must be very large
markers of some sort indicating the absolute north and south
of the world (perhaps very large pillars made of ice or wood).
The equator must be the center of the globe - some sort of
band encircling the world. I would guess the sun was travelling
along this equator - thus making it the hottest part of the
world. I make this guess based on the fact that the poles are
permanently very cold - thus far away from the sun.
This would require Ashtan and Ithmia to be much cooler than
Shallam and the Mhojave desert - which they are.
I thus theorize that the world is round as a ball - with the
sun circling the world exactly halfway between the top and bottom
of the world (luckily we are located on the top of the world).
In winter the sun moves away from the world (enlarging it's circle)
thus making the world cooler.
Only the power of Sarapis and His fellow gods prevents the water
from falling to the bottom of the world and off - and this is best
remembered when you pray.
I know this theory needs work - but with your help - and the
divine power of the Lady Lorielan will truth be revealed and
knowledge found.
