just a little about me

I should like to clarify for those who are clueless, my personal code of honor. While it may not match yours, well, who cares.
First off, I do not attack with no reason. 90% of my attacks are in defense of something or someone about 5% are temper tantrums and the rest have something to do with service or loyalty to something or someone.
As you can see, the concept of revenge never enters my mind. It never has and frankly, I am just too absent minded to worry about such things.
Furthermore, I believe that no sentient being is innocent. Beasts are the only pure things in this world for they follow their paths exactly how they have been laid out for them never wavering, never judging.
They kill for the most honorable of reasons, self preservation. They do not judge others based on appearance or strength or how much they kiss their butts. They judge people only on their benevolence toward them.
Sentient creatures however are born prejudiced. They are born with hate, greed, intolerance, vengence, selfishness. There is no sentient being, no matter how young, how pure, that can compare to the innocence of the beasts.
I attacked my brother the other day, he betrayed me after I benevolently offered him solace in my home. He took his newly reclaimed devotion and kidnapped some of the animals with whom I share my domicile.
Now I have heard all the arguments about this, they go willingly, they go to serve the Gods blah blah blah.
But I also know, that these are creatures. Not sentient beings able to make such decisions. They're lives are meant to be lived in the forest, hunting foraging, living the natural way. The way of the beasts.
These animals are not offered by the church honorable death through combat. Instead they are lured away through trickery. Most distasteful, don't you think.
This is not the issue however. The issue is that Cooper knows how I feel on the subject. I told my brother years ago that kidnapping animals from my homeland and killing those in my hometown would cause me to forget that he was my brother.
Likewise, I told my order similar. That harming the forest would make me forget they were my brothers (and sister).

Allowing someone like Cooper the gift of devotion is folly.
You may punish me for saying it. Take away my voice, but it needs to be said. Giving Cooper more power is foolishness beyond comprehension.
What has he done with this power? Well let's see. Today as I sat in my grove discussing how much life sucks lately with my dearest friend, my brother used his powers to invade and passify me so that I could present no defense.
He then proceeded to destroy every occupant of my grove. The gentle basilisk who lives there, the swarm of bees who have served me faithfully and myself.

Revenge? Is that what you have to say? Aside from the fact that the concept is foreign to me. It might also be noted that I was slain in the effort to free the animals from my brother's control.
He also returned a short while later to slay me again.
So for one attack to protect those who live in harmony with me in the forest I call home, my brother has killed me three times. Hm. A little bit of overkill I think.
If this is the sort of person the church welcomes, so be it. You all stepped down a notch in my already shaded view of you.

You know it's a shame Thoth never came. I know the whole world would have blown up.
But you know what? So what?
No one in this land has any respect for death. People's lives are stolen away like they are nothing. Only the mighty may survive.
This is not a land for dreamers, or thinkers, or philosophers or artists as I once thought. This is a land for murderers and thugs. Only they will survive and under the churches loving protection.

Penned by my hand on the 5th of Scarlatan, in the year 245 AF.
