Hashan

At the time I posted in regards to my recent enemying once again from
Hashan, I was enemied by Neokove. Neokove then messaged me that it was
a misunderstanding, that Neokove misunderstood what had happened. Neokove
then branded me an ally of Hashan. Then I was branded an enemy once again
by Merka, until she got a clear answer to what happened. Then Elentari
messaged me that I was enemied due to an error in which she takes full
responsibility, and once again branded me an ally to Hashan.
This all happened between the first post I made on this issue, and the one
I am now making.
My sorrow goes out to Merka, for she is the only one to get this right. I
am an enemy of Hashan, and should be branded one. Neokove, you completely
misunderstand my reason for posting, and my character. Never once have I
complained that I was unfairly enemied. Never once. The whole point
behind this is that OTHERS deserve the same, are legally deserving of this
same fate. It is completely fair, legal, and morally correct to brand me
enemy of Hashan. I never should have had that status removed. But if
others commit the same or worse acts than I, where is the justice
in this? If the guest previously mentioned kills a Hashan citizen, be
it inside or outside the city of Hashan, why is that guest, a non-
citizen still afforded the protection of Hashan?
As to why I addressed the post to you, Elentari, you by your own admission
wrote the charter, and are the representative for Hashan to the eyes of
Achaea. As far as my misunderstanding of the charter, let us review
pertinent excerpts from the document.
A) Life
No Citizen shall be intentionally deprived of his or her life.
6. The Guild and its members shall respect the rights and protections
of all citizens of the City, whether within the physical confines and
territories of the City or without.
8. Violation of City law by a guildmember shall be punishable by the law
of the City whether the violator is a citizen of the City or not.
Failure of the violator to stand trial for his or her violation shall
result in a bounty being placed upon the head of the violator.
The government of the City shall have the right to bring cases before
the court on behalf of the People of Hashan.
I killed the guest inside Hashan. I've killed Hashan citizens in the
past. I will continue to kill certain Hashan citizens, as long as they
continue their past behavior of attacking and killing without
provocation. I am deserving of enemy status from the city of Hashan.
If you are going to govern your city by this charter, and by the guild
charters, and you continue to offer guests of the city the same
protections your citizens enjoy, let them stand equally before the law
for their actions. Otherwise, it's a mockery to even discuss this
further.
I have heard statements in the past such as "Why didn't you bring this
to the attention of the judiciary?" "Why didn't you tell me what
happened?"
As you stated, Elentari, I am not, nor never have I been a citizen of
Hashan. I have no duty to Hashan. The duty, as stated in your own
charter, is yours. It is the duty of the government of Hashan to
bring cases before court on behalf of the people of Hashan. People
holding official positions in your government were aware of all these
happenings. Why they choose to look the other way, I believe I have
already stated.
On a personal note, I would ask the citizens of Hashan to look closely
at the officials they have elected. Impartiality in the law is a
dangerous precedent, and it has already been set. Look to Element and
Drakul, among others, to guide you as they have demonstrated an effort
to me to look at everyone equally before the law. Elentari, you have
shown this same equality before, it is a shame that you must ultimately
hold the responsibility for those who see the law as a tool they can
bend for their own purposes.
I ask nothing from the city of Hashan, save that they live the charter
they wrote.
