In response to your question, though I be sure Galdrion will respond himself, I do na see that, in your reference the forest would be the cause of the harm ye speak of, rather said person using the grove would be to blame.
If I be attacked by a man wielding a sword, surely i would na be attackin the sword for the damage caused when it slashed me. The man/woman wieldin it however, I surely would for without them the sword can do me no harm.
