failure of the treaty

As one of the Hierophants of the Oakstone, a body that was neutral throughout the war, and did not take part in drafting or signing of the treaty, other than to participate minimally in the peace talks, I extend this offer to the rulers of Ashtan, Hashan, Shallam, and the Church.

The drafting and passing of a new treaty for peace.

Before everyone scoffs and rolls their eyes, allow me a few words. First, let us remember those who drafted the treaty, and thank them for their efforts. Let us not blame them for the treaty failing.
Second, we all know why the treaty failed. Hindsight is wonderful insight.
And finally, I am not trying to stick my nose in where it does not belong. If peace is not wished for, we will not have peace, but as one who has treasured friends on both sides of the conflict, I for one would certainly prefer peace to slaughter.

If the leaders of the involved parties would msg me as to their willingness to once again return to the table, I have a treaty written up that might be of interest. It addresses the shortcomings of the previous treaty (once again, hindsight is wonderful insight) and I believe it to be a fair proposal.

Penned by my hand on the 22nd of Sarapin, in the year 239 AF.
