Church affiliation

The short answer to your queries is, in order to be a member of the 'Church', one MUST be either in the Paladin or Priests guilds. This gives access to the Church board and enables the skillset of DEVOTION. Like other guilds in Achaea, the Church and its subsidiary guilds prize loyalty to the membership above all other quantities. Unlike Halo, Vexlore, Tylin and some others, Dalamar has never seriously posed a threat to the membership, tho he MAY hold other ideals over those set by the Church or it's member guilds, hence he has removed himself from the immediate fellowship of the Church as a whole, but not so far as to disregard all the tenets we hold dear.

I could go into specifics about who did what and why they were ex-comm'd, etc. But this isn't the forum for such debate, as it is within the purview of the Church and not for public consumption. Suffice to say that dalamr feels that the Paladin guild was unsatisfying and, in leaving that guild, he 'de facto' removes his membership from the Church, yet not in spirit. I hope this clears things up somewhat.

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Phaestian, in the year 237 AF.
