There was indeed, shall we say, a squirrel mucking up the workings
of reality, and the perennials (myrrh, red elm, etc) did not regrow
at the New Year as they should. Said squirrel has been gently removed
and relocated to a lovely tree full of nuts, and the perennials have been regrown.
