I am all for Chaos in Understanding and Freedom of Thought, but I
wish to clear up the air on the ultimatum here. What you
have heard, what you have seen, what you have discussed among
yourselves may have clouded your perspective of the whole
situation, but note this -- every word in Napoloen's post points
towards the fact that the ultimatum has been sent from Ashtan
to the Church, which happens to be residing in the city of
Shallam currently.

Officially, no other party has signed it, not Oakstone, not Hashan,
however much other parties may agree to it, in part or in full.
Since the treaty as described in post #2016 was made between
Ashtan and the Church, it is in the position of Ashtan to declare
it void.

Right now, terms have been laid out by Ashtan in the ultimatum,
to which a proper response from the Church is expected. If the
Church chooses to ignore the ultimatum, it means Ashtan will
have to wage war against the Church, to make the blind eyes see
how seriously this matter is being taken.

Other parties have expressed a wish for a council comprised of
official representatives from all sides in Achaea, including the
Church, the purpose of which is to agree on a permanent
treaty which involves all sides and takes every detail into
consideration.

How all this will turn out eventually, I cannot predict. It is
really all up to the responsible ones on all sides, especially the
Church.
