the forests

As Hierophant Delphi so admirably stated, the Oakstone Council exists to protect the forests, not to support any political ideals. Also, the church has respected the wishes of those who've dwelt in the forest to keep shrines outside the woods, if you will, in the past.
Napoloen, as you have no authority to speak for the forests, I am confused as to how you can list as one of your Terms that the forest be maintained free from shrines, as they have been for many, many years.
Perhaps it was a misunderstanding in a feverish bout of excitement at the thought of going to war once again with the Church, I do not know.
Regardless, it does not excuse the presumption.
The Oakstone Council does not desire Ashtan, or any other city, to seek to stick their noses into the bushes of the forest. We might bite it off.
In closing, to the regents of Hashan. The Oakstone Council demands that your citizens quit using the phrase "You smell like apple butter," while they are within the city walls of Ashtan. Failure to comply may mean war, or at least a few nasty words over shouts.
