Servelan's Empire

Your empire sounds truly benevolent and perhaps inspiring. What is perhaps
more inspiring is your amazing use of contradictions, granting yourself the right
to kill with as much freedom as you have always wished for.

Servelan, you say, "First, we wish Ashtan to uphold religious freedom..."
continuing, roughly, with words effecting that "therefore the Church cannot exist in
Ashtan." You should know yerself, havin' met me, that while I do preach the merits
of the Church, I do not forcefeed my teachings down the throats of others. 'Owever,
Uldrais' and Laergon's previous statements, publicly 'ere and also within Achaea,
give no pretence to their intentions of crushing all beneath their feet.

So, you preach freedom to crush those beneath you? You preach freedom to practise
any religious beliefs and yet, you strive to annihilate the Church's presence from
within Ashtan's walls, through outlawing Templars and bringing down all the shrines.

And now this "clemency". Though I do not wish to involve one of our holy men in this,
Helmut requested an' was granted clemency. He is a priest. The priests placed the
shrines. You are exterminating the shrines. What, then, is the next logical conclusion
in your charade?

And Templars, though none I know have the power to establish shrines in Achaea, have
all been outlawed. For what reasons, Servelan? Is it that you fear the Sword of the
Church more than the Hands of its Priests? Or is it merely the chaos that runs its
veins through your Empire? Demanding death and destruction, all concealed under the
serpentine tongues of its followers.

I know what this "empire" was founded on, my own ears have been sullied with Laergon's
cries for power, for world domination. I have seen the malicious intent that causes
misguided spirits such as Alanna's to kill even the youngest Templars and Priests,
with no reason. That the amongst the first of your decrees was to outlaw the Templars,
a guild open to debate, one not willing to ride in and mete out unbridled slaughter,
is proof of your Empire of Destruction.

Further proof of this is my own death, Servelan, under the gaze of your hellish
entourage. That you keep with such evil, an evil that anyone fair of heart can recognise,
is sufficient for me, but you have made a graver error. I have what you would term
a "bloodfeud" with Alanna and our battle led to the gates of Ashtan. Where you arrived
to mete out your so called "justice". Wordlessly, I might add. After I had been murdered,
all Templars and Priests were THEN ordered from the city. I would also like to "thank"
ye for informing me of my outlaw status and that I am not allowed to kill in Ashtan.
No cry of, "Rip! Desist! Killing is forbidden in Ashtan!" Just these demons, yourself
and Alanna.

Thus, I come to the rest of Achaea. Those who have not experienced this "Empire". I
beseech you all to think deeply on Servelan's words, but more importantly to judge her
by her actions. I conversed with her before this Empire created itself - I found her
polite and intelligent. I believe she looked on me like a spider eyes a fly it knows it
can crush at anytime and now she is hungry. Decide for yourselves, as I have done. And
know that if you ever need sanctuary, or help, I will be here to grant it, with my
brothers in the Church.

Praise be to the Gods!
