I know that Mistral, a renowned defiler, is a stickler that her fellow citizens do not break the terms of the treaty between Ashtan and the church. In the Infernal post section, we have no less than 5 posts devoted to which shrines are legal to defile, reminding members frequently, to obey the law.
Post 2016 says "The terms put forth by the Church were this; shrines in Shallam, Pash, the Hall of Pillars in Azdun, and just west of the Delosian bridge, are not to be defiled by Ashtans citizens. Any areas not included in the forementioned areas are free for the erection, sanctification, or defilement of anyone."
Today, brother Jehannum of the Infernals was ambushed by Kiyosa for defiling a shrine on the beach of Shastaan. In her own words...Kiyosa, Priestess of the Dawn tells you, "Shaastan is not mentioned in the post as being a part of the treaty. He defiled there, what more is there to it?"
This she said to me just after quoting to me the part about "Any areas not included in the forementioned areas are free for the erection, sanctification, or defilement of anyone." I trust Kiyosa is literate and of strong enough mind to understand the treaty. It is written so anyone could understand it. This means she deliberately attacked one of our men for doing what was termed by Shin, the author of the treaty to be acceptable behavior.
This is not the first time we are the victims of this thugish behavior. I can only say this, last time there was a war, many Shallamites logged off and never came back. Personally, I welcome a new war and have been subtly pushing our city leaders for a new one. If the church really wants war as bad as we do, then just keep ambushing us in our daily rounds.
