Comforting Falsehoods

Lo-da'i, Sapience.
How blessed Eleusis is to be the Heart of Nature, and to have the Wildwood Queen's verdant gaze shining down upon us.
How blessed we are to be invited to invest in our own pursuits and reach new heights of growth in service to Her.
How grand it is not to kneel beneath the threat of a spiked whip, but instead because we revere our home and the promises we swear.
What seems to be lacking within this flowery proselytism is any true understanding of what it means to abide by Her Will.
Do we wish to see the fall of iron and stone? Yes. We do. We wish to see your walls crumble and your people turn to the embrace of Nature.
Does that require us to assault every city with axe and hammer? No. Eleusis is not bound to strike at Civilisation day after day merely to prove that we are acting.
We claim victories in Her name that all others might never see. Is that convenient? Perhaps it is, but it is easy to muddy truth when one splashes too vigorously in the puddle.
Some seek to undermine over a century of Eleusis' efforts, to pretend that Eleusis has stood reactionless in the wake of battles, to have others believe that we choose inaction over action.
The truth of the matter is thus: when someone is denied what they desire, when someone feels slighted and rejected, they slip on lenses that block out everything other than what they perceive to be true.
Eleusis stands as a bulwark for Nature, and Her verdant arms are open to all who have worth and prove themselves loyal to Her cause.
If you do not live in Eleusis, you do not know what Eleusians do behind draping vines, how Eleusians act, or what the Earthmother requires of them.
If you seek to know, you will come.
If you choose to cling to comforting falsehoods, believing yourself cherished, then so be it. All things inevitably crumble, and we will stand beside the Earthmother to see it through to the end.
