Hello again!
Here are the important dates for the Anchors Acreage Auction and Artisanals:
Submissions Deadline: 25 Mayan 990 AF (This is a HARD DEADLINE)
Display, Voting and Sample carts: 1 Sarapin 991 AF to 25 Mayan 991 AF
Auction at the Delosian Auction House: 1 Sarapin 992 AF
Visitors' Favourite Winner Announced by: 1 Daedalan 992 AF
===
And these are the rules for submission!
- The theme is Bygone Brews and as the event is a collaboration with the Asterian Restoration, your submission must have a historical context to it, be it pre-Seleucarian, Seleucarian, or modern Achaea!
- The entry (Artwork, beverage, vessel inclusive) must be UNIQUE. No reproductions will be accepted this time. Designers may make private arrangements with winning bidders on whether to transfer the design or provide a certificate of one-of-a-kind authenticity.
- More than one submission is allowed, and you do not have to pair with the same artist or crafter for each submission. However, again, the submissions must be UNIQUE.
- Artistic license is permitted, but please ensure that your work is respectable and tasteful within reason. For example, as much as you think Prince Mycale deserves sewage, you should not show him drinking a Sewage Sour. If the subject of your work is still undead/living, or especially a God who is currently present in the realms, please ensure to get T/their permission to use T/their likeness in the depicted context as you are basically using T/them for promotional purposes. The Anchors Acreage and Asterian Restoration hold no responsibility for whatever vengeance may be wreaked upon someone who chooses to paint Zsarachnor drinking strawberry milkshake from a bunny mug.
- Submissions deadline is on 25 Mayan 990 AF, this is to allow all pieces to be displayed at the same time to receive an equal amount of exposure for voting!
- Each submission MUST be sent TO SKYE BY LETTER with the following information:
1) A suggested starting bid for the auction in GOLD. We recommend around the cost of your material and guild fees plus a little extra to start.
2) A suggested individual beverage fees for the cart. This is to help you offset your promotional costs. Earnings from the cart sales will be collated and mailed to the beverage maker unless instructed otherwise.
3) A short write-up about your work to provide the historical context and show your collective thoughts and understanding behind the work. For example: You might serve an expensive cocktail with rare ingredients in a bejewelled goblet during Princess Catarin's presentation because those were more prosperous and peaceful times, but Alekh Gunther's last desperate swig of cheap mulled wine before the confrontation at Sutter's Gap might not be quite so grand. - THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. IF YOU NEGLECT THIS STEP AND SEND ME WORK WITHOUT CONTEXT, YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.
4) If you are collaborating with another crafter, please come to an agreement on how the gold from the auction will be split. The earnings will be delivered to each party in accordance to your agreement.
I expect some additional questions to follow, so I will set up a Frequently Asked Questions Bulletin on the Advertisement board to handle these and update frequently so check ADS and look for the AAAAA!
We look forward to hearing from you and receiving your submissions!
