Beware the dwarven machinations and subterfuge

Hail. Icy winter tidings to all.
My life on the wild continent was rudely interrupted by news from a traveler visiting from Sapience, a messenger bearing ill tidings to an otherwise idyllic setting.
She claimed that here, the virtues of dwarves were being exaggerated to the masses, and that the dangers of dwarven infiltration were entirely left for the reader to find out the hard way.
In his recent post, the chief dwarf-wrangler noted - correctly - that beards are inherently a preferable form of facial decoration. In this, we see how the seeds of effective propaganda are sowed. One must always begin with something that is demonstrably true, that every being of sound mind would understand. This is a necessary component to ensuring that the intended recipient of one's message is primed to believe what the propagandist wishes to convey, and his assertion around mouth-fur is the sweet honey meant to trick us into swallowing the hidden poison.
For in truth, dwarves are best and most-safely engaged with when treated with extreme suspicion, and subject to strict observation. Going back decades - likely longer, but I am only so old and so awake throughout the centuries - dwarven infiltrators, saboteurs, and spies have taken care to entrench themselves in all places where the encroach of mortals is evident.
These various villains may express themselves in diverse ways - an arrow in the darkness here, the shuffling of footsteps just-below one's field of vision, the whispered chatterings of their damnable language - but their belligerence and hostility is undeniable. Worse still, it can be sensed across the world. From the streets of the Baelgrim in a raid to the far-flung icy islands to the deepest Atrousian, their presence remains consistent. Even Her village, it seems, is not wholly secure from their devilish machinations.
So to all free-thinkers still walking the realms: be warned, do not invite dwarves into your dells or homes without careful thought and consideration. If their presence is necessary, take the precautionary steps required to keep you and your community safe from whatever wickedness they no-doubt continue to scheme. Myself, I will be returning to the wild continent, for while there may be dwarves, there are far, far less adventurers.
