From the heart of one who is fully devoted to the Skylord, to the hearts of those who are curious, who have questions they fear to voice, and who have, so far, heard only artfully woven deception, I offer some answers.
The Skylord's tenants:
The Skylord has given us four Fulcra: forces to embody as we will. These are Fury, Ambition, Conviction, and Reckoning. By embracing these, by living them to our greatest potential, we fulfill His will for us entire. He has no need to dictate behaviour or demand obeisance. His place in the cosmos is without challenge, and He is secure within the ownership of His Realm. He would not ask that any people throw off tyranny only to accept another set of chains. This is anathema to His very being.
Is there some trick? No, and I'll touch on the Fulcra to explain:
Fury - this is the first cry of defiance, the part of us that rebels when faced with failure, injustice, or mediocrity within ourselves and others. When we refuse to tolerate harm done to the things we cherish, when we rage at those who choose apathy over action, and when we identify our inadequacies and vow to eliminate them, this is Fury rising within us.
Ambition - this is where Fury becomes action. How will we address those causes of Fury? Here lies one of the greatest gifts to us: the answer to that question is within each of us alone. There is no single way to chase Ambition. We can battle our foes with weapons, with words, with subterfuge and yes - to my personal joy - with science. It matters naught. So long as we identify the solutions we seek and best employ our skills, talents, and resources in achieving those ends.
Conviction - This is what lives in the marrow of our bones. What values endure when all else is stripped away? What is there, within us, that we hold onto in all of life's storms? An honest Conviction will not shift with the wind. A deep and sincere investigation into our Convictions means knowing ourselves and gaining the courage to be the voice of dissent in a crowd, the first to act independently, and the one who is unswayed by emotion on a course we know to be true. Conviction fuels our Ambition and dwells within our Fury.
Reckoning - This is the culmination of Fury, Ambition, and Conviction. This is the moment in which judgement is wrought. What is intolerable within us and what is unendurable in the world are to be scoured away. This is not cruelty, but an annihilation of the things that do not serve the attainment of our full potential. Storms are without mercy, but in their wake, they leave renewal and growth unhindered.
What about Arcadia? I sympathise with them, but in short:
The Skylord is not Arcadia. If destruction comes in response to the actions of some, it will be at mortal hands. The Skylord would have you rise for yourselves, before it's too late.
In closing:
If these things speak to you and you're interested in learning more, the Soaring Sodality is open to aspirants and allies who come with sincerity. I'm also willing to speak with anyone, from anywhere, regardless of the quarrels that might exist between our organisations. In fact, I greatly admire the Cyrenians who have risked much to reach out. Your identities will continue to be closely guarded.
