Calm yourselves. There seems to be confusion - if not outright fabrication - circulating. Allow me to clarify the matter plainly, with the facts as they unfolded

Everyone is under the assumption that these lemons were found and hoarded out of malice and greed. So perhaps a better frame of time is needed.

8th(ish) Ero, 979 AF - I was contacted by a peasant of Aster. After some discussion he said he had something he could give only to the Regent of Aster. As the peasant was outside the locked gates of Aster Malik, wandered off into the direction of the grasslands, and from my conversation -whatever- this man had came from the Asterian Restoration. And so out of an abundance of caution to the Baroness' estate and belongings I stayed mute until more information was forthcoming.


10-11th(ish) Ero, 979 AF - Ser Aerek, Aster Regent, woke and received the package. we took some time trying to open the damn jar to verify the contents and discussing who had the best resources to provide a cure. After opening the jar, we discovered the lemons are not affective if they are out of the brine for to long, so what we could supply for research was cut down by four-fifths. For those keeping count : thirty became six.


12th(ish) Ero, 979 AF - It was agreed that one jar, the jar with the fewest lemons, would go to the Hashan laboratory due to their extensive research facility. Nezaya was summoned, we gave her a lemon to prove this was not a joke, and the two remaining lemons went to be investigated. It was also agreed that Eleusis would receive a jar to investigate. Lemons are from plants after all and that is just common sense. The jar was sent to Hierophant Cieon as they were the most vocal in attempting to find a cure from the village.


14th Ero, 979 AF - Nezaya makes the public news post #22372, both I went to rest, intent to discuss the matter with Aerek when we were well-rested and not so overwhelmed with this sudden boon and responsiblility that was laid at our feet. Ser Aerek soon followed.

We did ask Nezaya discretion in the source of the lemons, the town of Aster Malik has been harassed enough and we sought to protect the inhabitants of further harranging. As the silence from them may have suggested, they were being overwhelmed by the same inquiries from different foriegners day in and day out.


21st Ero, 979 AF Heirophant Cieon receives Eleusis' jar and posts to the public #22373.


Mid Valnuary 979 AF - Hashan has the one lemon not yet investigated stolen. A few days Striped Lime Wine is discovered in Inbhir Ness. I am relieved, Royal Lemons are no longer the only resources we have to combat the plague. I await the waking of the Regent to share the news and distribute the last jars.

Just as the Regent awoke, he was immediately set upon by his ex-wife and... whatever Skye is. Cheerleader in bad choices? Perhaps they had both shared to much wine and thought accosting him upon waking was a viable choice. Then Tritons. Then I think we know what happened from here.


A summary as this is unusually long :
- Aster Malik was only aware of, and possessed the Royal Lemons for 1 month, and perhaps 1 day.

- Any questions met with denial of lemons within Aster Malik that was not asked specifically between the 10th and the 14th of Ero, 797 AF is not a lie as there were none.

- We are aware of no more lemons in Aster Malik. We rid ourselves of them (rather hastily) to those who protected the town.

The hasty scrabbling of a few has been the catalyst for the loss of numerous precious lemons. Instead of being able to place the jars into the hands of trusted individuals they were given to freely. Whispers have it of a person who ate the multiple lemons themselves without sharing. Other tell of the lemons being simply burned and prayer offered as a cure instead.

As of now, we will still continue working with the Achaea Health Organisation and will pass any further jars presented to us to a representative. Speaking for myself as Lady of Aster Malik, I want no part in deciding who to trust and who is reliable if it brings suspicion and harassment to the people of Aster Town. The gates remain shut, the people within traumatised. They will only open again when the people within are comfortble with foreigners once more.
