To the denizens of the world

I hear you,

Raised by denizens myself, I have always believed adventurers too callous with how they approach their relationship to the rest of our world.

We each have our own beliefs and morals, but for too many, they are thrown away as soon as something convenient is dropped by a denizen that they would normally care to defend.

Farmers, workers, parents, children. Villagers struggling to survive, without an ounce of malice in their hearts, guilty of no crime greater than holding a talisman, a personal belonging.

It is one thing to hunt, one thing to take a job or a quest, but the wanton murder of denizens in the pursuit of experience is something that many of you wouldn't stand for if it was a fellow adventurer, or a denizen you cared for.

I implore you adventurers, the next time you go out to hunt, consider why you are doing w hat you are doing. Do the denizens you kill deserve it? Death is often not permanent, but pain, fear, trauma, those things stay even beyond the halls of Ugrach.

To the Denizens of the world - keep fighting, keep calling for better beliefs, and if you rise up, know there are those of us who care for your suffering.

Penned by my hand on the 9th of Lupar, in the year 979 AF.
