To claim that this Rot, well-documented by historical record, is born of moral failing rather than biological pestilence is asinine, the ignorant blathering of one whose small mind cannot comprehend anything that's not written in their Scripture.

Are the children whose gums have decayed just as guilty of this moral failing as you claim? Have infants, whose short lives have known no wrongdoings, not suffered, coughing up blood in their cradles?

Where is your evidence? I have heard of no person seeking citrus before displaying symptoms of this malady. No search for oranges or lemons began before unearthed documents spoke of this cure.

You mistake your fear for faith, and in doing so, you invite folly. The Gods do not need your slander of the sick to make Their opinions known. Disease is not a parable  it is a pestilence. If you truly served the Divine, you would bring balm, not blame; healing, not hypocrisy. But instead, you preach condemnation while others - even the Seat of Chaos you so despise - work to bring a cure to the innocents who suffer.

If this Rot is indeed a lesson to mortals as you seem to believe, perhaps the lesson is to expose false piety such as yours. I urge you, tend to the afflicted, help us find a cure, or just mop the blood from your streets. Add prayer to your action is that's what you believe is best - but don't stand idly by and call it faith.
