Seed extraction underway

Hey everyone,
I am writing to inform you of a significant development in our ongoing battle against the plague that continues to ravage our lands.
As many of you know, I received one of two known jars containing preserved royal lemons. There are four in the jar currently, I am the only one that ate one when testing if it was viable. This month, the jar was handed over to Koladhi, the Horticulturist. Koladhi has begun the seed extraction process. The risks are substantial. As Koladhi stated plainly: "In the worst case, we might lose a lemon in the process."
The preservation process could have compromised the viability of the seeds. Koladhi's assessment was direct: "That harms our chances for success, but we can hope that the rind protected the seeds enough."
If the seed extraction succeeds and we can cultivate royal lemon trees, we may have found a sustainable path to widespread treatment.
Koladhi will provide updates through written correspondence to me as the extraction proceeds. The process is delicate and cannot be rushed.
I will continue to update all of you as information becomes available. This represents a great hope for all of us.
Cross your fingers, toes and all you can, people.
Stay safe,
Cieon
