While investigations continue on the plague spreading across the land, I have a simple recommendation.

Plague Masks

There is a simple design for a publicly available one - 16109

Fill the nose of the mask with fragrant herbs before you wear it. There is a going theory backed with evidence (A decrease in cases of many sicknesses in those that wear such masks as compared to those that do not) that sickness is spread through a smell - even if at times an imperceptible one! Wearing the mask with herbs in the nose will filter and overpower the stench.

If you are already infected, sneezing into the herbs will percent your sick-stench from spreading.

More information is being discovered about this illness, and there could be other ways that it is spread. However, being extra cautious will harm no-one.
