Hail, Sapience.

Save a few ongoing tournament battles, the third Asterian Convention has met its inevitable conclusion. From sermons about Chivalry and faith to stirring jousts and battles to tales of significant Knights and events, there was abundant and diverse opportunity for any to engage with the age-old traditions of knighthood.

We hope that those who joined ourselves and the Guild of Knights found themselves enriched by the experience, if not in pocket, then in spirit - and on rare occasion, both. For those absent, all is not lost; it has never been our custom to gatekeep a bounty of knowledge behind availability of presence. Our scholars will work on an official commemorative Convention tome for public perusal, as we do.

Do not expect that to be ready in short order, however...for Ero approaches.

The Asterian Convention was but a prelude to what you can expect from the larger Asterian Festival of History, which begins this year. You have seen the UPCOMING agenda. Now understand it in context.

As past history becomes present focus, our efforts will be divided between eight Ages that have defined today's landscape.

Age of Proteus
---------------
We delve into the Mythos for an understanding of how our world came to be, beginning with the actions of Lord Ayar-turned-Proteus, the elder Divine He ruled over, and the conflicts that arose.

Age of Mortal Races
-------------------
Each of the mortal races of Achaea, from Lady Maya's Human children to the fayad of fae and dryad union, has an origin story waiting to be told. And so they shall be.

Age of Seleucar
---------------
Retrace the journey of Nicator, once Nikolas, in his and his allies' quest to found Seleucar, the first and most legendary Empire of our histories.

Age of Succession
------------------
What is the price of power, and who pays it? Seek the answers amongst the players as royal Mycale and Catarin struggle for the Seleucarian throne.

Age of the Sundering
--------------------
Meet the Sapient League and learn how their rebellion against Imperial tyranny led, instead, to the fall of Seleucar and continents sundered at the hands of the Man in Grey.

Age of Civilisation
--------------------
In celebration of post-Seleucar advancement, experience what it means to live as a citizen within Sapience's five adventurer cities and sole Village.

Age of the Worldreaver
-----------------------
The coming of an alien God. Numerous Divine perished and slain. The demise of a city. Relive the consequences of Bal'met's encroachment upon our world.

Age of Black Woe
-----------------
Wander back through memory to discover the impact of a resurgent Black Pazuzu, his corruption of Yggdrasil, the assault upon Shallam's Memory, and his final defeat.

Every Age, there will be a variety of activities themed for that Age. You will notice, for instance, that the racial presentations are all concentrated in the Age of Mortal Races, while the city presentations are in the Age of Civilisation.

However, presentations are not the only sort of activity planned: there will be arena events, world games, a ship race, a masquerade ball, ancient exhibits, and an assortment of other agenda items to pique every interest.

As with the first Festival, there will be tasks set for every Age for you to complete and record in your own journal. Once the Festival concludes, submit your completed journal via the box in the Asterian Restoration to receive a unique memento. The detail of this memento will be commensurate to the effort you put into your journal.

Ready your quills. Mark your calendars. Check your compasses.

This Festival, we remember once more.
