On Leadership and Chaos

People of Cyrene,

It comes as little surprise to any with an eye to see that your Imperiate has, once again, failed. Utterly and completely. Not only has she failed, she has failed you. We once had a discussion, your Imperiate and I. At the time I yet remained blinded, in yoke and service to the Fire and wholly devoted to my pursuit of Chaos and its erradication. I was curious, then, why Keorin was so eager to lend her hand to placing the Staff of Nicator in the grasp of the Mad God's chosen warlord, Jy'Rakym Dunn, a man with ties both to Oblivion and the Chaos Court. Her answer to this was simple, she "would be concerned with opposing Chaos when that Chaos reaches Cyrene's walls." And so it has, Cyrene, and so it has.

During the Black Wave, Keorin stood as a vocal proponent of using enlightenment and the resulting Chaos taint as a weapon against the Tsol'teth, willing to condemn our world to the grasp of Chaos in her pursuit of violence. With each step she promised that yes, she assisted Chaos in its aims now, but certainly she would see it stopped once it reached your walls. It is she who has brought it to your walls, Cyrene. It is she who has brought it within them, even, to twist and make mockery of your homes, bodies, and minds. What you may have once termed Cyrene's most valiant defender the herald of entropy to come.

You owe your allegiance to a madwoman. A fraud a failure and a coward. A leader who would condemn her subjects to Chaos and its rot is no leader at all. She is no one and nothing.

Should you seek to flee a society where you are naught but subjects to be betrayed, to be used, abused, and stepped upon to suit the leadership who seeks to claw out any loophole to inflate their own gravitas and sense of legend, Hashan stands true.

Ever,
