Little birds?

It's no wonder Eleusis is so divided if they get all their news from little birds, with so few of them singing the same tunes.

Regardless, please tell me what "grievous defeat" we have suffered? Ever since the war was first declared, the brave soldiers of Eleusis have hidden in their treetop village, running with their tails between their legs when they encounter a single soldier of Hashan out in the wild. Many times the Hashani Legion enters the Village to seek blood, only to find the brave hordes of Nature defenders huddling next to their guards, afraid to budge for fear of their lives even with the safety of numbers. More, a single Ashtani has shown more courage in attempting to defend the village against us than all those villagers did together. Strangely, those same villagers then went on to defend Ashtan with far more zeal than they showed for their own Village. Perhaps they merely pay lip service to Nature? But that matters little to us.

The efforts of Eleusians against us during the Championship games were as inconsequential as the Village itself. The Coalition lost the games and the chance at the Staff of Nicator, all because of an unwillingness to accept that which didn't conform to their preconceived notions of reality. The Tsol'teth have won a great victory in this, their third excursion to the surface, no matter how you may try to spin things. The barrier of the Underrealm lies broken, Cyrene is flooded and ruined, its inhabitants dead or subsumed, three cities have lost their Fonts, and the Staff of Nicator fell into Tsol'teth hands.

Such success extends to those of us who saw the sense in allying with the Tsol'teth. We learned how to harness the energy of our Wellspring with Sublimation, Targossas won both the Staff and the Effigy. Your Coalition is left to lick its wounds and reduced to blustering attempts at denying the reality of your loss. Despite everything that's happened, you still continue to scream that you won and your enemies were defeated. You still ignore the obvious facts and the reality of the situation, and instead call us the liars. Here's a little tip: just because you wish something were true doesn't make it so.

Maybe one day Eleusis will find the courage to stand for itself and face the reality instead of the comfortable stories you tell each other, but clearly that day isn't here yet.
