As of this serenade, I'm happy to announce the start of our first Championship Event, the Seleucarian hunting contest!

Hunting is a skill that near every adventurer has practiced, and which many have spent their lives mastering. Every fifty years during these anniversary events, we come together to test the great hunters of the realms, testing strength, endurance, deadliness, and knowledge of the world, to find the best hunter in the realms!

This event will run for three months, from the start of this serenade on the 9th of Pheastian, to the serenade held on the 6th of Mayan. To measure hunting progress, we will be recording essence offered at shrines of the orders who have agreed to work with us, so be sure to bring your corpses back and offer them before they decay!

This event is open to anyone and everyone interested. All you need to do to participate is to send me a message stating your interest, and then get out hunting and offering.

This is a contest of endurance and work as much as speed, and anyone who participates in any way will win something, so we challenge you all to go out these next three months to offer and hunt! There's little reason -not- to take part if you're planning for any hunting in the coming months!

Remember, for your progress to be measured, you will need to offer your corpses to one of the orders that's agreed to work with us for this event. We're doing our best to work with many orders, to make sure everyone has a god they feel able to offer up to. Our many faiths are an important part of the Modern Age, after all, and it's important that we celebrate that too during these anniversaries.

Currently, the list of divine you can offer to as part of this event are:

Lord Phaestus
Lord Sartan

If you wish to participate and none of these gods work for you, we're happy to work with other active orders who can give us an honest count of the essence donated over this period.

And of course, there are prizes! This hunting contest will have the same prizes as our other championship events, which will be detailed more fully in my next post.

First, every participant, regardless of how they do, will win a unique medallion themed after these Seleucarian Games.

And for those who place, there will be both credits awarded, and points to determine the champion of the Seleucarian Games:

1st place will win 100 credits, 12 championship points, and a customisation themed after these games!
2nd place will win 50 credits and 10 championship points
3rd place will win 40 credits and 8 championship points
4th place will win 30 credits and 6 championship points
5th place will win 20 credits and 5 championship points
6th place will win 10 credits and 4 championship points
7th place will win 10 credits and 3 championship points
8th place will win 10 credits and 2 championship points
9th place will win 10 credits and 1 championship points
10th place will win 10 credits and .5 championship points
