Sapience.

Any intelligent military leader or even combatant knows the basics of battle. Learn from the past, live in the present, fight for the future. Yet, how so easily some of you forget this.

Centuries ago, the man we now know as Emperor Nicator had visions. He raised up a great empire known as Seleucar. He prepared for what is now called the First Black Wave. Later, after he had passed, this Black Wave was fought.

For those who are unaware of history, the Black Wave included Tsol'teth who sought to conquer the above land. Now, admittedly I cannot expect many, or even some of you to remember exactly what they did. However, they had Matic Ridley take the orcs, ogres, and goblins who were beforehand more as we are to their deaths. They were created into the beasts we so easily slaughter today throughout the world.

The Black Wave came. Countless lives were lost. Seleucar remained standing.

More recent years before this turn of events, another Black Wave came. I should hope some of you would know who was part of said Black Wave, but I note that intelligence is not necessarily the strongest suit of everyone. Yes, the Tsol'teth were part of that. They destroyed shrines to the Divine. Countless lives were lost. Yet cities remained standing.

Now, we come upon what is known as the Third Black Wave. Initially we fought side by side, going against the Tsol'teth. They were slain. However, for various reasons places fell. Cyrene's land was conquered by them though the real Cyrene, the people, remain strong and as resilient as the mountains they called their homes. Hashan whom at least were true to their ideals of 'progression', although they sided with the Tsol'teth. Then..Targossas.

I would weep for you if I had the tears. I left a city of faith that I had hoped would remain strong throughtout this to find my own way. You profess to serve the Lightbringer and Righteous Fire, yet you choose to add another by acquiesing to the Tsol'teth. Perhaps the Light has been diminished. Perhaps your fire has gone out. All that remains is to see what will be left when the Tsol'teth are finished with you if the rest of Sapience does not fend them off.

I'm aware what I am called. "Traitor." "Oathbreaker." "Betrayer." Yet though I broke oath to Lord Deucalion, Targossas, and the Blood Born, I never once chose to bend knee before any enemy praying they would have mercy. I never once pleaded nor bargained in the hopes that by lowering myself to the position of a dog that I might be granted crumbs.

Sapience. Look at history. Look around you. Ask yourselves this. Would you rather fight the Tsol'teth and die on your feet or live on your knees?

I've made my decision. Make yours.
