Villagers of Eleusis,
Adherents to Nature,
We thank you for your warnings about the extermination of the Darkenwood, a place precious to both our patrons. We certainly do not have the capacity to sense these matters as keenly as you, and the alerts from several citizens of the village are thusly appreciated. In light of this information, the Order of Darkness will protect our Father's wood as is within Our power.
However, while many of the warnings I have recieved were congenial and sincere in intent, there were also those I recieved with no little ambivalence of feeling. That is those who beseech Us to action in defending the forests while simultaneously continuing to defile the shrines We might use in their defense.
Nonetheless, the expectation has been thrust upon us to act in our own interests in order to further your own. In truth, I savour it really. The irony is not wasted upon me that some among the village are so set in declaring the duplicity of Darkness while so skillfully demonstrating it themselves.
Regardless, as it has been; so it still is. We will continue to hold open dialogue and cooperate with those of Nature who are willing to do so. Darkness has no quarrel with Nature and values, as it always has, the friendship of the Tribe.
