I know that you speak from a place within you that once cared for Nature, which is why I will honour you with a response. Nature's wellbeing will always be at the forefront of my mind. I know the history of Cyrene's founding quite well. During my time as one of the Anachaine, I was blessed with being Her chosen, the mortal voice that spoke for Lady Artemis and I worked closely with Her as Patron. I know Her thoughts fairly well, as much as can be known considering She is a Deity, when it comes to what needs to be done.

'All to back a fire-breathing dragon for leadership of the conclave' you say. Open your eyes. The lands have frozen over and there are animals dying of frostbite caused by the unnatural ice that covers the land. This is not a simple winter we weather. Conclave be damned, it has evolved into so much more. Nature is being harmed, confirmed by the Wildwood Queen, and inflicted by Maklak. If you care so much for Her, you should think about that yourself. I will take any step necessary to ensure that Maklak's power is removed, so that the frost is removed.

Long before my words to Cyrene, and soon after the effects of the ice where known, the City had chosen to support the Red Dragon. I simply requested that they resume their efforts. Cyrene are quite able to make their own choices and did.
