Shrines

To make the long story short, the controversy
over the shrines is really simple. We citizens
of Ashtan don't want shrines in our city,
because we are pagans, we are herectics, we
are free thinkers, we are not members of the
Church. It is an infringement of our rights
to freedom of thought and religion to erect
shrines in our city while we have continuously
shown our displeasure towards this. You
will hardly have the chance to see a shrine
remain for long in our city, because it is
gone before long, with the dedication of
our street cleaners to keep the streets of
Ashtan clean and spiffy.
+
As for the highway, that is another matter
which is best left to the negotiations
reached between the Church and Ashtan.
+
Mistral, for freedom and the blue skies above

Penned by my hand on the 13th of Lupar, in the year 218 AF.
