An Epistle to the Enemies of the Fluvial Queen

Addressed to: Everyone
For a few years now, the Holy Shrines of the Lady of the River,
Kastalia, have repeatedly been found defiled. At times a culprit could
be witnessed in the act, but often the shrine was completely destroyed
and the defiler gone by the time a member of Her order could get there.
And whenever I found a person near the site, my questions were met with
denial or simply a refusal to respond.
To those responsible for these acts: I do not know what your motivations
are, although I have some hypotheses. I find myself at a loss however
when faced with the question of what gain you might hope for by sneaking
through the shadows, destroying a Holy Shrine, then running away and
hoping to remain undetected.
If you wish to demonstrate and further some notion of strength by
initiating a religious conflict of sorts, trying to hush up your acts
and avoiding Her order at all costs seems to actually counter your
intentions.
If you wish to simply cause harm to a Goddess or Her order because of
personal disagreements of sorts, defiling shrines that can simply be
rebuilt with some time and work doesn't seems like a very effective way
of doing so.
I thus invite those who have a peeve or misgiving with Lady Kastalia,
Her realm, or Her order, to step forth, to voice and stand up to your
views. I will be glad to discuss such concerns with you, or to settle
them in whatever fashion seems appropriate and promising of a
development beyond the tediousness and futility of defiling and
sanctifying shrines and playing hide-and-seek.
I am confident that this "conflict" can be given a more productive shape
and eagerly await your response, in public or in private.
Penned by my hand on the 5th of Miraman, in the year 597 AF.
