It is bad enough that I am enemied to Ashtan for a crime I did not
commit, because one of its citizens lied - and even in the face of
indisputable witnesses and recorded evidence to the contrary, Sohl,
and by his claim the Archons, refuses to withdraw the status. Mind
you, this is even with the alleged victim, one Roroan, originally
contacting on me for the alleged event, then realizing that he had no
reason to be able to do so, withdrawing his contract.
It is bad enough that Roroan cannot even be made to retract his lie,
as even now he rustles in the wind, never again to grace these lands
with his odious presence.
It is with some regret that I cannot visit the House of my youth,
for which I paid good gold, and built with love.
No, the worst part is that Sohl cannot even be bothered to state a
term or fine, even though those have been requested of him over and
over again. His most recent response, to the then Voice of the Earth
Ashadra, was that he had already provided the information. But he had
not, and apparently has no plans to do so because when she told him
no such information had been received, he did not respond to her
again.
This is not an isolated issue with Ashtan. I hear many make the same
complaint of a City in which I spent much time in my youth, to the
level where I deemed it my (then) "favorite City." A city to which I
steered youth to purchase their necessaries.
Well, no more.
Ashtan, if you are going to hold people hostage by way of false
enemy status. If you are going to extort gold for crimes which did
not even occur.... the least you could do is have the courtesy of
letting your victims know the terms and amounts of gold of your
extortion.
Since I can get no private answer, since my House can get no answer,
I am forced to ask publicly:
What is my fine for the "attack on Roroan within the City."
Simply,
Prythe
P.S. For those who care about specifics, Roroan was graced at the
time of the alleged attack, and was within reach of Ashtan, in its
protected areas, but not within its walls. I was just outside of
Eleusis, within its protected areas as well, as evidenced by at least
half a dozen people. However, I am willing to pay the extortion gold
in order to sell my property and be done with that city until such
time as there are those in power who have some interest in actually
handling business.
Penned by my hand on the 1st of Miraman, in the year 595 AF.
