Greetings Sapience!

I hope everyone is well, I come to you to inform you with the year 570
around the corner, there is the Festival of the Forge that is scheduled
to take place!

The Festival of the forge is a year long event that is planned to honour
Lord Phaestus, the Smith. Everyone throughout Sapience is affected by
the realm of the Smith, be it teaching, crafting, or bonding with ones
family. The Smith's realm has a far reach and can be related to by
nearly anyone that has learned any crafting skill, taught a skill, or
enjoyed any sort of bond with their families.

This Festival will have events held throughout the year with prizes, as
well as certain cities will be visited for a set of events more specific
to the city. Even if you are not victorious at any of the events, you
will not walk away empty handed.

The opening of this Festival will begin during Sarapin, and there are
going to be two contests that will be run through around half of the
year. Get your quills ready!

The first begins in Daedalan, and will run until the end of Phaestian.
This will be a writing contest on the subject of crafting. The rules are
simple, one entry per person in a preserved letter. Unfortunately, we
are not accepting any entries from enemies of the order. The prizes for
this contest are tiers of credits for the top three, 10, 7, and 5
respectively.

The second contest will begin in Aeguary and also will be open until the
month of Phaestian this is a crafting contest. The rules to this contest
are similar to the ones above, a preserved letter of an item that can be
crafted. Also, no enemies can enter this contest. Think hard about what
you are entering for, the winner of this contest will receive a crafting
license toward the craft they are writing for.

During the month of Phaestian a special event will take place outside of
the Temple of Phaestus, so do not miss out!

On Mayan, the closing ceremony will be held also at the Temple of
Phaestus and the results of the writing contest and the crafting contest
will be announced.

So join us, learn something, win something maybe even forge something.
