Discord is the heated disagreement of two debaters, the rivalry between
two warriors. It is any friction between two people or forces, though
this sort of Strife is usually reserved for referring to the man-made
variety of Strife.

Discord, a bit closer

Discord, one of the chief tenets of Erisian Chaos, is also a vital
gateway into the realm of Strife. The connection between Strife and
Discord is not merely philosophical, but also familial; Lord Pandemonium
possesses some of the pure essence of Discordia.

It is the Discord between two influential men that form the first few
steps of the intricate dance bringing Strife into our world, and leading
to War. War and its lesser forms are the ultimate goal of Strife,
creating the Divine Circle we know of as progress.

Summarily, Discord is the point at which Chaos meets Strife, and the
place where Strife turns toward War. It is the most common source of
Strife, and lives within all people.
