Ashtan vs. Church (so-called War)

So far, I have done much soul-searching in my time away from guild, order, and city. I have come across the part of my countenance that is inspired to destroy lives at the smallest inclination. I have learned much about this inclination to violence. It has taught me that violence is only a tool of anger and greed, as well as a lust for power. Now, I am not saying that those are not good things to strive for, but must we slaughter the innocent along with the guilty in our conquests for glory?
I once gave into those inclinations listed above. I was part of the Kharon during their reign of power. Yet even then I found something lacking in our conquests: Contentment. Power only brings a greater lust for more power, and drives us to kill and steal more and more as it progresses. I am sorry to say it, but I was wrong. I know many of you out there are not old enough to remember those days, but of you who were slain by me and any of my Kharon Brothers, I apologize.
(sorry about this post, If I offended anyone, I am sorry. This is just another step in my quest for self-purification. Thanks for listening all. C ya later.)
Your friend always
Dave
