It is highly unfortunate that Eleusis has had to deliberate our
relations with the Jewel of the East. While Eleusis is neutral with
respect to Good or Evil, Chaos or Order, many from Shallam have assisted
Eleusis in the past in defending Nature and Eleusis from the aggressions
of our common enemies. Nonetheless, harm against Nature is inexcusable.
While it is understood that the harm was not intentional, harm was
indeed done and our trust greatly betrayed.
Delicate is the balance that keeps the Darken Wood alive. Neither the
Councils of Oakstone or Eleusis were consulted about the attempt to
remove Darkness from the wood and despite our presence and protest, the
violation continued.

We hope to make ourselves perfectly clear that harming Nature in any
way, shape or form is not appropriate and has consequences. Free from
outside influence, Eleusis will be pulling Her support and assistance
from the Jewel completely, for the period of one year.

During this time, no Shrine to Lady Mithraea is permitted in Eleusis and
Her order membership will be banned for citizens. The Lady Sols actions
in directing a forest to be attacked/attacking a forest is similar to
why Babel was banned originally from our trees.

Those who participated actively in attempting to "purge" the Darkenwood
Forest will be investigated, spoken with, and possibly enemied for their
actions until approval of the Speaker to unenemy.

Effective from the date of this notice, assuming that aggressions by any
Mhaldorian or Ashtani continues during this one year against either
Eleusis or Nature, Eleusis will once again permit its citizens to defend
Shallam at the end of this one year period. Should all hostilities cease
against both Nature and Eleusis, Eleusis will consider its position and
whether or not it will allow citizens to defend Shallam in the future.
