on second thought. . .

Written by: A Mystic Echo Ripples Across the Land

There was nothing left of me but a Voice, and now that has been taken away. Having been thus condemned to nothingness by a whim of the divine, on condition that I break my vows most sacred and true, I shall remain a nothingness for eternity. I refuse to destroy my beliefs for the selfish gain of another.

I am deeply hurt that Eris interpreted my words as irreverent, and I take her admonitions and the punishment as something looked upon with approval by all the gods as one. Out of respect for the common divine wish, I will not stay where I am not wanted.

Indeed, your will has struck too true, Eris, and in my eyes, such petty vengeance is not worthy of a divine hand. Further, your childish reluctance to explain your position concerning chaos and all that which you stand for suggests that your divinity rests on but a flimsy platform.

Alas, it is truly a shock to me how my time has ended so prematurely. My fate incomplete, I will live on Eternally as a flower, Anguished, but a Voice no more. Remember me, friends, as I will always remember you. And no, I will never return.

Thanks for a wonderful time, and may the spirit of the Logos long bless your lives.

The last Echo

Penned by my hand on the 2nd of Daedalan, in the year 217 AF.
