An apology, and a new Path

Citizens of Eleusis,
I post this publicly to you in efforts to explain a lapse of my
judgement this past month. I let my own personal turmoils overwhelm my
judgement and in part I unleashed my rage upon those who stood along
side me. This has been something I hoped I would never see myself do
again.
I have been told that the paths I take in life have clearly been able to
be recognized by the mess that is left behind in its wake. I myself am a
bolt of lightning coursing through the skies...given direction I can be
quite the force, but allowed to take my own course I can strike
dangerously at those nearby without reason or thought.
I attacked personally your Speaker Ravien and her husband Entaro. I had
said many things and in public of their competency to lead. Who was I to
judge your leaders. I regret having done so and I know that Eleusis will
endure. I was even so ignorant at one point I stood face to face with a
Mhaldorian and stated I would even be interested in Citizenship. Anyone
who knows me would know that I was clearly not right in the head to
openly state something like that. I am very sorry. I beg you, stand
proud Eleusis. I consider many of you friends and family for taking a
fiesty over zealous rogue like me in and make me feel welcome. I cannot
thank you enough and I sincerely apologise to you. You are deserving of
the most promising future. I know I cannot remove what was said, but I
can move forward and begin mending the damage I caused.
I am not a politician nor am I a public speaker. I am a rogue dedicated
to serving and protecting those things that flourish and endure...not
those things that seek to destroy. I shall serve Nature in a capacity I
am more comfortable in and travel the lands one step at a time. A
nomadic life will suit me quite well. I want you all to be proud of you
are. Do not let those of Chaos and Evil taunt you. For my proudest
moment was standing Face to Face with the Lord of Oblivion and Lord of
Strife looking into our city and all of you standing united and fearless
in their presence.
The Babelonians who attack your citizens are cowards, the Ashtani need
to look at what their embrace of Chaos is bringing to them. Oblivion
will not save Ashtan...it wont save anything. You will lose your city as
well should you allow the Occultists to continue their rituals in that
wretched bog.
I remember the words of a woman named Sarranda.
"I have scryed and I forsee, "Pillars of fire shall rise to the heavens
and a crater will be left in its wake where Ashtan stands at the hand of
the Eschaton, Athame, and the Occultists rituals"
Dont make her prophecies, reality.
I see change and I hope your new Overseer will do things to change this.
I still do respect many of my old Ashuran family and you were allied
with the Sentinels for many years. Dont let scum like the Occultists
ruin the integrity of your city. Remember you are the city of Freedom,
not of Chaos. Those pillars stand proudly as the Statue of Zaruthustra
looms watching over your citizens. Claim your independance from Chaos,
fair Bastion.
I give my sincerest apologies Eleusis. I hope to see you further
flourish. I shall leave you in a fashion only a Bard could do proper...
The art of losing isn't hard to master,so many things seem filled with
the intentto be lost that their loss is no disaster.
Lose something every day. Accept the flusterof lost door keys, the hour
badly spent. The art of losing isn't hard to master.
Then practice losing farther, losing faster:places, and names, and where
it was you meant to travel. None of these will bring disaster.
I lost two cities, lovely ones. And, vaster, some realms I owned, two
rivers, a continent.I miss them, but it wasn't a disaster.
--Even losing you I shan't have acted so brash. It's evident the art of
losing's not too hard to masterthough it may look like the perfect
disaster.
Be well Fair city,
